One type of training collar offered here at Country Brook Design is the choke chain collar also called a slip collar. We carry the metal choke chain collars. This type of training collar is not intended to actually choke a dog, in spite of its name. It is intended to press on the brachial nerve, much like pinching the funny bone. The choke chain collars is intended for use as an obedience and training collar and is made from smooth, rounded metal for comfort. There are no sharp points on this training collar. When used as a training collar only, the choke chain collars are a great training tool. However, the design of this collar makes it dangerous to leave on an unattended animal because it can easily catch on something and accidentally strangle a pet. We offer these training collars in nickel and chrome plating in single quantities or packages of 12. The choke chain training collars are available in sizes from 14 to 24 inches in 2-inch increments.
