Triglides are an important part of any project that uses metal or plastic hardware and we have a large variety of them. Triglides cannot be used alone, but are usually used side-release buckles and snap hooks. Plastic triglides are used with plastic hardware and metal triglides are used with metal hardware. These can be used on many types of projects using webbing or strapping, such as collars, harnesses, belts, purses, backpacks and luggage, just to name a few. Triglides are used to adjust length of webbing or strapping and to neatly manage the slack by doubling it over. Each item in our store tells what size webbing is used with each triglide. Plastic triglides are made of heavy-duty molded plastic but are light as well as water and rust resistant. The smoothness of the plastic triglide disguises its strength and durability. However, if your project is designed to bear a lot of weight such as for climbing gear or dog collars, metal triglides are recommended along with metal hardware because of the strength.
