A plastic D-ring by any other name would still be ... a plastic D-ring. This piece of hardware is so named mainly because it is shaped just like an uppercase "D". You can use it to secure a nylon, fabric or leather strap to a surface with another nylon, fabric or leather strap. Light and easy to place/replace, most do-it-yourself projects include a plastic D-ring.
